Before you film anything, get these three things right. They take an hour. They decide everything.
Broad accounts grow slowly. Sharp ones grow fast. Don't be "a finance account" โ be "AI tools for stock traders." Don't be "a fitness account" โ be "5-minute workouts for desk workers." The niche tells the algorithm who to show you to, and tells the viewer instantly whether to follow.
This is non-negotiable. The DM automation in Part 5 only works on Creator or Business profiles. Settings โ Account type and tools โ Switch account type. Takes 30 seconds.
When someone lands on your profile from a viral Reel, they decide in 2 seconds. Pin the three posts that best answer "what is this account about?" One should be your highest-performing piece. One should be the clearest "what I do." One should be social proof โ a result, a testimonial, a screenshot.
Test your bio with a stranger. Show your profile to someone who's never heard of you for 3 seconds. Ask them what the account is about. If they can't answer, your bio isn't sharp enough.
Five beats. Thirty seconds. This is the structure I use on every Reel that converts.
Open with a question or a shocking claim. Stop the scroll before they breathe.
Don't explain yet. Use familiar words in a strange order so they lean in to figure it out.
Drop a real result. A receipt. A number. Authenticity beats polish.
5 punchy points. One sentence each. Cut every word that isn't pulling its weight.
"Comment [keyword] and I'll send it over." One word. Easy to type. The DM is where the real conversation starts.
The first 3 seconds decide whether the algorithm pushes your Reel further. The next 7 decide whether they keep watching. The rehook at 10 seconds is where most people drop off โ give them a reason to stay. The list at the end is where you deliver the value you promised. The CTA is where you turn watchers into subscribers.
Use Edits โ Meta's free editing app. It exports straight into Instagram with no quality loss, no watermark, and no compression hit.
Export at 1080p, not 4K. Instagram compresses everything down anyway. 4K just makes the upload slower and gives the platform more to crunch.
The biggest unlock in my workflow: I generate scroll-stopping graphics with Claude in under 60 seconds, then drop them into my Reel as overlays.
You don't need Figma. You don't need Canva templates. You write a prompt, Claude builds the graphic in HTML, you screenshot it, and you cut it into your video. That's it.

The smartest creators stack these. The Reel earns the comment. The DM captures the follow. The DM also captures the email. The freebie delivers value. The freebie's footer recommends a paid tool. The newsletter then re-engages them every week with more value and more recommendations. One Reel feeds the whole machine.
